Vacuum melting of Titanium

In this video you can follow the process of titanium melting and pouring using a Topcast TVM Vacuum Melting Furnace.

The process starts with the charge of titanium alloy bars into the crucible and the insertion of a copper mould into chamber. Titanium is heated and melt into the crucible by induction. Then the crucible is rotated by means of a remote control and the molten alloy is poured into the mold.
